at what level of the oil price do alternative sources of energy (ie solar, wind etc) become viable?
what is the cost of energy production per therm for the different methods of production? ie oil, biofuels, solar, wind etc. i understand that oil is the cheapest way of energy production at the moment, but at what level of the oil price would other methods become economically viable?

I heared installing solar panels on my new roof to heat my pool would void my warranty is this true?

during a recent show I watched, they were talking about using ION Engines instead of the ordinary chemical mixture that NASA uses now. My question is, will it make the craft faster using these new ion engines? will it make it quieter? How much difference will there be besides the chemical mixture?
