Would Hydroelectric power be more efficient than any other power? what are your opinions?
I’m researchig Hydroelectric power (Power generated through Dams) and i want to hear opinions from average people, wether it would make a difference or not? Is there any or many dangers about hydroelectric power? What do you know about it??
Hybrid cars ? Are they a waste of money ? What is battery life and replacement ?

Which one is the better alternative car, and why?
I’m talking about electric, hydrogen, etc. Thanks.

O’Reilly Webcast: Nuclear Energy – Future Directions
In the United Stated nuclear energy currently provides 75% of all non-fossil electricity generation. Greatly improved performance of nuclear power plants over the last 20 years has resulted in very high operating reliability, leading to plans for construction of new reactors in the United States. This talk will discuss the current status of nuclear energy, […]
besides batteries or solar cells or fuel cells, or generators what else is there that can produce high voltage
when I was younger, I used to think that Nuclear Power Plants used nuclear material to collect electrons, but now I know that it’s only the heat given off that creates steam which turns a turbine. HOW LAME! Why can’t we use nuclear material to create electricity directly? Or maybe even replace electrons altogehter.. replace […]

Geothermal energy research – any going on in Cameroon?
Chevron ads say they want to be the world-leader in geothermal energy. So, are they, or anyone else, doing any research, etc, in Cameroon? There was an agreement in 2003 and 2006 over Bakassi Peninsula, but the enforcement that agreement seems to be falling apart. This may take some oil out of Cameroon’s energy portfolio […]

Can anyone recommend solar cells and solar panels for a physics experiment?
I am doing a physics experiment where I need to compare the efficiency of the two. Solar panel for radiation>heat water and solar cells for radiation>electrical energy. Can anyone recommend me some cells and panels which have lots of information about their performance, efficiency etc? Many thanks!

Galvanic Cells: how many moles of oxygen gas will evolve for every 1.00 x 102 grams of Cr(s) deposited?
An antique automobile bumper is to be chrome plated. The bumper, which is dipped into an acidic Cr2O72- solution, serves as a cathode of an electrolytic cell. The atomic mass of Cr is 51.996; 1 faraday = 96,485 coulombs. If oxidation of H2O occurs at the anode, how many moles of oxygen gas will evolve […]
How does saving water and saving energy protect our environment?
I know we should all play our part in conserving water and electricity but how does it affect our environment? can someone give me a summary so i can help others around me understand why they should play their role too?
