The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Well, quite frankly I look forward to when your ground is completely devoid of that sweet nectar. Don’t label me a “liberal” or a “hippy” because I understand how the world works. I could just as easily label you an “idiot” based on what you’ve just said.

It’s so important for many reasons:

    a) Oil supplies are dwindling – if you want your country to survive it will need to have a secure source of energy, unless you want to invade more middle Eastern countries?

    b) Global Warming (it is happening, it is man made, deal with it). We need to stop burning fossil fuels and switch to alternative sources of energy, and amongst that is saving energy, i.e. “conservation”.

  2. Back in the early years of nuclear power we were told that we should sell all of our fossil fuels as soon as we could because it would be obsolete within 50 years.

Well 50 years later it appears we have come to another nuclear age because oil and coal have not become obsolete fast enough.

We are quite a ways away from being able to get a lot of cheap fossil fuels to keep on using it foolishly, so, until we actually have that oil on tap, we need to become very conservative in our use of what we have. OPEC is again reducing their export quotas so America is likely to be short of fuel even for this winter.

God may have put enough fuel in the ground to last a couple hundred years. But that is not a good reason to waste it and leave none for future generations.

  3. Sounds like someone needs to go back to school and study up on a few things. Our fossil fuels are not unlimited and with the way the world population is growing and using things up and the lack of concern for pollution….the human race is going to be in big trouble.

I’m from Alabama, what’s the deal with energy “conservation”?

I don’t understand all of these liberals talking about saving energy and being GREEN. Why is that so important? Why would God give us all of this sweet nectar for our f-350s? The ground is FULL of oil and natural gas, we should use it. Do you think that saving energy will do anything but give those hippie nutjobs something to inject peyote and smoke their grass about?
