Question by : Do you use an electric car, hybrid, or gasoline car?
I’ve heard of electric cars, but never got into them since my family and friends always use gasoline powered cars. Well now I know a little about them and I think they’re pretty cool! So just wondering, which of these three cars do you have? And which do you think is better?
Answer by TBirdOmega I use a gasoline engine. I would happily switch to a hybrid or electric car only if:
1. They start making engines that can last more than 10 years.
2. They start making cars that actually look like something you would want to be seen driving around in.
3. They start making a car that can get from 0-60mph in less than 8.5 seconds and can break past the 100mph mark.
4. For electric cars, it would be nice if they could make one that can do more than 300 miles on a single charge.
Question by Mac Rowling: Can we expect a gas-electric hybrid car by 2012?
I am really thrilled with this question that is constantly striking my mind. I would really love to see this kind of a car running on the roads. Do you know any automaker who can roll out such a car.
When driving a Hybrid the electric motor is used at low speeds, then the gasoline engine kicks in for more power. Question is how does the gasoline engine turn on or is it always on?
now that I know how the gasoline engine turns on, it does not seem to have any warm up time, so you could be accelerating hard onto a freeway with cold thick oil. should I be worried about excessive wear?
I was discussing with an adversary of mine the possibility of this. I think it is possible over a period of time for a small wind generator to produce the same amount of energy that a gallon of gas will produce.
I saw a homemade wind turbine done with 50 gallon drums on Youtube. It was very practical and easy to build. My question is. What is the length of time that it would take to generate the same amount of energy from a gallon of gasoline?
Yahoo had this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061117/ap_on_bi_ge/oil_prices_51 and this: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-gas14nov14,1,1475055.story?coll=la-headlines-business on its homepage news at the same time. I have heard election and Republican conspiracy theories but please don’t post a response like that without hard evidence.
I was thinking about buying a bmw 3 series sedan but the only thing holding me back is the fuel mileage it gets. I started looking into conversion kits that can turn a car into a hybrid or electric car. I couldn’t find any specific kits so I don’t know if the technology is out yet. Could someone please tell me if it is those kits are out there. Please list as much info as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
these are the shots i filmed with another camera. i’ve since integrated this high pressure hydrogen system with my on demand system to succesfully operate a car for long periods of time. i currently have 3 ebooks i sell on ebay under the user name powerzap69. or you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info they explain all the info i have gathered so far on hydrogen. i also have several other ebooks on alternative energy sources like solar thermal, wind power. and generating stations. the truck in the video ran for 20 minuits prior to any filming. it ran better on hydrogen then it does gas. my ultimate goal is to be able to fill the fuel tank with water versus gasoline. or mount a second tank for either or.
Hey, I need an exact estimate on how much it would cost to convert your gasoline car into a hydrogen car. I would like to know how much would it cost if you do it yourself and if you took it to a car center. Thank You
