Does anyone know what is the relationship between the blade angle and the power generated for a wind turbine?
Does anyone know what is the relationship between the blade angle (angle of attack) and the power generated for a wind turbine? Is there a formula for it? All I know is P=(1/2)(“rou”)(A)(V^3)(CP), but it do not have the blade angle factor in it….thx alot
how to make a wind generator?
I have an old welding machine(which is basically a generator) that can make up to 250 amps. Can and how do I make it into a wind turbine and how do I hook it up to an U.S. standard house hold curcuit beaker. What other equipement do I need to possibly cut down my energy […]

Wind Turbines and Dimensional Analysis?
Do the dimensionless constants for a centrifugal pump apply to a conventional wind turbine as well. That is without modifying any of them in any way.(I believe both are rotodynamic machines, so in my mind it should). If it did though, what would happen to the Head parameter. I know that turbines are classed as […]
Iowa Wind Power
A school district is learning – and earning – with wind power.
How to DIY Wind Turbine?
I was just wondering if there is any realistic way to make a wind turbine what would generate between 15 – 30 amps. Of course there is variable wind speeds to consider. But, what would be required for such a turbine?
What non-renewable resources do hydroelectric power and wind power help conserve?
I’m thinking that they help conserve coal. What else?

Concern Wind Powered Water Pump, Awaran
This is one of Concern’s wind powered water pumps in drought-stricken Awaran district, Balochistan province, Pakistan. Without this facility women and children would have to make several round trips of up to 7km per day to fetch water.
Why are Wind Turbines Places on the Ground and not up in the air?
My questions is more technical than the above, but I didn’t have enough room. Why is it that wind farms (turbines) are built on the ground where the wind speed is lowest compared to being attached to ballons and floated up a thousand feet (or 8 Miles up where the wind speed is the highest) […]
Is it possible to place wind turbines on gov.owned landin NC specifically within the Nantahala national forest
Some of the ridges in the forest have potential for generating wind electricity. This could benefit the economic and environmental sustainability of Clay county as the majority of the people work outside the county, and most goods and services also must be brought from the outside. However, one challenge to both wind power and a […]

The Secretary of Interior says Wind turbines can replace coal power plants?
Do people really believe the s$^$ that the Obama adminstration is putting out. Sec. Salazar says Wind turbines placed on the Atlantic coast can generate 463 gigawatts. So that equates to approx. 140,000 turbines. Do people really believe that can happen? Check reality. The largest wind farm in the world is 300 turbines in Texas […]

how much wind power can be generated in 15km/hr wind speed ?
I am planning to go for a wind turbine of 500 watts to install for domestic use. With average wind speed of 15km/hr in my location, can anybody suggest me how much energy can be generated by this wind turbine and also which are the appliences to which this energy would sffice?
