Algae Biofuels
As America looks for new alternative fuel sources, biodiesel from algae offers a new and innovative solution.
Next Big Bio-Fuel – ALGAE
Bryan Garner, News Channel 5 visits a farm in Fellsmere that produces algae which replaces crude oil. Fred Tennant (Vice President of Petroalgae) says it is cheaper than oil, a lot cheaper. Arizona State developed this Algae and or process. Bits of algae fed with carbon dioxide grow dark green. From seed to harvest in […]
Any Information On Algae (as a biofuel or just algae)?
Does algae grow everywhere? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using it as a biofuel? Anything about this topic. Thank you so much.
On Beyond: Birth of UC San Diego, UCSD Biofuel Expert
Highlights from a discussion about the development of UC San Diego from venerable former Dean of Physical Sciences Marvin Goldberger, and find out why algae holds great potential for biofuels from UC San Diego algae expert, Stephen Mayfield. Series: On Beyond [1/2010] [Science] [Show ID: 17679]

Can I change to Biofuel?
I want to buy a Dodge Intrepid, which is a V6 (6 cylinders) engine. Is there any way I can convert this to run on bio fuels? (Biodeisel, waste oils, whatever…) EDIT: I suppose I should have said that I would not mind changing the engine. Buying a new one, you know? It’s just that […]

What is biofuel, ethanol, droughts, and high price of what? and How is it effecting the food crisis?
Development of Cellulosic Biofuels
Chris Somerville [Director of the EBI, UC Berkeley] Abstract: The earth receives approximately 4000 times as much energy from the sun each year as the total projected human energy use in 2050. Because plants can be deployed on a large scale to capture and store solar energy, I am interested in exploring the degree to […]
Bio-Fuel toasting the Indonesian rainforests
Whilst teeming with a vast diversity of life, Indonesia’s lush rainforests are quite simply disappearing — meaning that its eco-system and climate processes are sorely being affected. 75 percent of the nation’s rainforests have already been cut down by loggers wishing to exploit the opportunity to make huge profits feeding the insatiable worldwide demand for […]
how is biofuel converted into electrical energy? Please Read! please?
So i was wondering how are biofuels converted into electricity. Do they just use it in place of fossil fuels and do the same thing? Just use the biofuels to burn up to turn a turbine which generate electricity and wallah electricity for everyone.
How are biofuel made?
What is biofuel production? How are they produced?
#5 Vertigro – Gas, Diesel, Biofuel production from algae
Grow mass amounts of algae and produce 20000+ gallons of bio-fuel on one acre. With the amount of farm space of 1/10 the size of New Mexico we could produce enough fuel to fill the United States’ need for oil.
I believe energy in the biofuel is less than the sum of the energy spent in making it. Is it worth it?
Biofuels have been wrongfully promoted and mistakenly perceived to be ‘carbon neutral’, that they do not add any greenhouse gas to the atmosphere; burning them simply returns to the atmosphere the carbon dioxide that the plants take out when they were growing in the field. But this statement ignores the costs in carbon emissions and […]
Andritz Feed & Biofuel
Andritz Feed & Biofuel is one of the worlds largest companies for the development, manufacturing and sales of processing machines for the industrial production of Biofuels. They have developed a unique processing plant, which transforms straw from local farmers into Biofuel pellets which are then used to fire Power stations. In this case once the […]
