I consider it a second generation bio fuel. The first was a 10% mix of ethanol with gasoline. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.
Neither. When the tenth generation biofuel comes out it can still be E85. That number just refers to the percentage of ethanol mixed in with gasoline.
