The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

Can electrical engines breath air?

The idea kind of provokes an image of the Caterpillar Drive in “Hunt for Red October”. But, that at least was water which is electrically polarized; and seawater, being heterogeneous is full of stuff an electrical engine can grab onto. But, I was making a point in another question on Y!A (below link) that I’ve […]

Conceptual Mars mission using 3 VASIMR engines

This is NASA’s conceptual human mission to Mars using 3 plasma rockets (VASIMR), 3 nuclear reactors (similar to the reactors used on nuclear submarines). The reactors are extended on booms in order to minimize the amount of shielding required to shield the spacecraft. The large fuel tanks would provide shielding astronauts against radiation from the […]

Is there anyone working on a Compressed Air – Electric Hybrid Engine?

I am seeing a lot of articles talking about electric vehicles (investment, research and development, etc.), of which I am in favor of but it seems like we are putting all of eggs in the EV basket. I believe that we also need to investigate other forms of energy to power our vehicles as well. […]

Question on Twin Ion Engines?

You might remember “twin ion engines” from Star Wars (though you probably don’t). Apparently NASA has actually developed TIEs. These engines don’t travel nearly as fast as in the movie though. They use mercury ions and solar power for propulsion. I don’t understand how this is possible. Normal rocket engines are able to propel themselves […]

Swapping a regular combustion engine with an electric motor in a 240z?

Well I’m planning on purchasing a 240z, but as you can all see lately the gas prices are going nowhere except upwards, so I’m thinking about getting an electric motor swap on a 240z project car. I’m going to need high polymer lithium ion batteries as well, but what do you guys think?

ion engines?

during a recent show I watched, they were talking about using ION Engines instead of the ordinary chemical mixture that NASA uses now. My question is, will it make the craft faster using these new ion engines? will it make it quieter? How much difference will there be besides the chemical mixture?

How many propulsion engines and what are they?

How many types of propultion systems are there??? Working and in theory. Some that I know would be “Ion pulse engine, steam, gas, hot air. most know as combustion engines. For your answer please let me know the name and what it uses as fule.

Фашисткий ионный двигатель/Fascist ion engine

Данный двигатель совмещает в себе передовые технологии начала 20 века и Шайтан-магию Третьего Рейха This engine combines advanced technology start of the twentieth century and demonic magic of the Third Reich

Why can’t we use Steam-Power Engines in vehicles?

I had reviewed information which showed how technology made it easier to use electricity to quickly heat water-even if frozen solid. Frozen water was an issue for the North in Winter. Steam out sold electric and gas cars for a while, but with gas being so cheap in the day, and the wait time for […]
