I am seeing a lot of articles talking about electric vehicles (investment, research and development, etc.), of which I am in favor of but it seems like we are putting all of eggs in the EV basket. I believe that we also need to investigate other forms of energy to power our vehicles as well. Are there any organizations out there that are conducting research into more hybrid technologies?

I believe that UPS(united parcel service) is also trying out air assist for startup in several markets. Believe it or not the people with the most experience with compressed air are the Amish.
