Operation Greenhouse was the fifth American nuclear test series, the second conducted in 1951 and the first to test principles that would lead to developing thermonuclear weapons (hydrogen bombs). Conducted at the new Pacific Proving Ground, all of the devices were mounted in large steel towers, to simulate air bursts. This series of nuclear weapons tests were preceded by Operation Ranger and succeeded by Operation Buster-Jangle. Operation Greenhouse represented new and aggressive designs for nuclear weapons. The main idea was to reduce the size, weight, and most importantly, reduce the amount of fissile material necessary for nuclear weapons, while increasing the destructive power. With the Soviet Union’s first nuclear test a year and half earlier, the United States had begun stockpiling the new designs before they were actually proven. Thus the success of Operation Greenhouse was vital before the development of thermonuclear weapons could continue. A number of target buildings, including bunkers, homes and factories were built on Mujinkarikku Islet to test nuclear weapon effects. The “George” explosion was the world’s first thermonuclear burn, though it was just a test design, unsuitable for weaponization. Shaped like a torus, the “George Device” had a small amount of heavy isotopes of liquid hydrogen (deuterium and tritium) placed at its center. The vast majority of its yield derived from fission. The energy output from the thermonuclear fusion in this test was

Coordinating Response: Information Technology in the Gulf of Mexico

Mike Utsler, Incident Commander in Houma, LA, reports on the digital systems and software that have been developed to co-ordinate the response effort by air, land and sea. Information gathered must be collected, collated and shared globally to determine how resources can be most effectively deployed in response to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Water car patent pending Hydrogen technology

Update 12/20/2010 – Working on open-sourcing my electrode to make it free to the world. The way it should be. Update June 24, 2010 – Looking for partners to bring this project to the public. We have manufacturer but need a local machine shop to prototype new upgraded models for testing. Contact me at to discuss possible partnership. Also looking for used CNC machines table top or small shop sized. If you have a spare and are in the Dallas area I would be interested in working out a trade deal if possible. I also have two other non Hydrogen related products I’m looking to have manufactured. Preferred partners with working understanding of metal fabrication and has available CNC milling capabilities. These requirements are not necessary but would eliminate production costs. Very scalable and thus input power independant.

BP Oil Spill Clean Up Technology Ideas – Part 6 (2010)

June 9, 2010 Watch the full hearing: The first attempts to stop the oil spill were to use remotely operated underwater vehicles to close the blowout preventer valves on the well head; however, all these attempts failed. The second technique, placing a 125-tonne (280000 lb) containment dome (which had worked on leaks in shallower water) over the largest leak and piping the oil to a storage vessel on the surface, failed when gas leaking from the pipe combined with cold water formed methane hydrate crystals that blocked the opening at the top of the dome. Attempts to close the well by pumping heavy drilling fluids into the blowout preventer to restrict the flow of oil before sealing it permanently with cement (“top kill”) also failed. More successful was the process of positioning a riser insertion tube into the wide burst pipe. There was a stopper-like washer around the tube that plugs the end of the riser and diverts the flow into the insertion tube. The collected gas was flared and oil stored on the board of drillship Discoverer Enterprise. 924000 US gallons (22000 barrels) of oil was collected before removal of the tube. By June 3, BP removed the damaged riser from the top of the blowout preventer and covered the pipe by the cap which connected it to a riser. CEO of BP Tony Hayward stated that as a result of this process the amount captured was “probably the vast majority of the oil.” However, the FRTG member Ira Leifer said

Are governments and oil companies secretly hiding free energy technology from the public?

Question by : Are governments and oil companies secretly hiding free energy technology from the public?
I keep hearing conspiracy theories that governments do not want us to have access to free energy technology such as cold fusion and that they work with oil companies in order to silence anyone who finds out or invents something that will give us Unlimited energy.

Apparently Nicola Tesla is one of the casualties as they have kept hidden his papers that give proof of free energy.

Answer by Aenima
Due to the First Law of Thermodynamics, energy cannot be created or destroyed, just transformed from one form to another. Free energy in theory doesn’t exist, unless Nicola Tesla was a sorcerer. XD

Wonder how an electric Mercedes drives?
There came a moment navigating a recent Friday’s rush hour traffic when I forgot I was driving a hydrogen-powered electric car. I hadn’t forgotten, however, that I was driving a Mercedes. The leather smelled expensive. I wanted to go fast. But the Autobahn Park Avenue is not. Hemmed in at East 79th Street, I waited impatiently for an opening. While I would have preferred a winding country road …

New Geothermal Technology will Increase Clean Energy Capacity

For centuries, people around the globe have used Earth’s heat: from relaxing hot springs baths to geothermal energy production for entire cities. But the resource has always been limited to areas with sufficient underground warmth. Now, as US officials encourage the development of clean-energy technologies, the industry is developing new, more efficient ways to capture the Earth’s energy. VOA producer Zulima Palacio visited a plant in Utah with one of the latest and most promising technologies.

Water Auto: water fuel, water gas, hydrogen technology, alternative fuel source This new revolutionary technology allows you to burn water, and very little gas into your newly converted vehicle. The water is converted to hydrogen and mixed with the petrol which then becomes waterfuel for the vehicle. water for fuel, hho, water fuel or whatever new terminology is today, is converting followers lightning fast. Faster than the ability to convert 99.9% of all vehicles to water cars with no engine modification. What’s fueling this sudden paradigm shift? Perhaps its the metamorphosis of the once gas consuming vehicle into a lean, clean, water burning machine. But I’ll wager its the lower auto gas bill and the better gas mileage that’s got the masses giddy with excitement and anticipation. No matter, run auto with water time has come and will not be ignored.

Is EV or Fuel Cell technology a viable alternative for Semi-Trucks?

Within 20 years, large amounts of oil will be hard to come by and very expensive. Most people are saying that EV and hydrogen fuel cell technology will replace our gasoline engines in are cars, but, what about Semi-Trucks? They are much more important to our current society than personal transportation.
Too me, it seems you would need MASSIVE batteries to pull trailers, not counting refrigeration. I don’t know if fuel cells could produce the power needed, but you would also need very large amounts of compressed hydrogen.
What do you guys think?
