  1. thats why people who choose this lifestyle, or eating animals are actually supporting the worst destruction that can- these are facts, you’re right. The MOSt disgusting practise is the fishing, to cut the tails and fins of sharks, and throw them LOVE back inot the water, they cannot move, swim or feed, and are just bodies, alive, with brains and those POOR animals , it maks me cry with rage that stupid greedy humans are so cruel, greedy and barbaric. How woudl THEY like it.

People who choose to eat meat are directly supporting THIS behaviour.

The rainforest is being cut and hacked away all for McDonalds cows. it is disgusting.

  2. I don’t understand your question there is no such word as extincts
For pork do you mean pigs?

  3. Not even sure where to begin on that one as there are many points that could be made from your post. So I’ll stick with a few.

1.”why do people think human consumption extincts animals?”
I’m not sure what people you are referring to, but if you are referring to the stone ages and thus creatures such as the woolly mammoth, we don’t know. At this point, it seems the main debate is whether humans were responsible for extinctions due to hunting, or our sudden presence shifted the ecological balance, or if extinctions were due to climate change.
This being said, there are some species such as the Great Auk that are known to have been hunted to extinction in more recent times.

    2. “dolphin kill: japanaese kill dolphins for fun”
Since they eat them, you could also say that we kill pigs and sheep and goats and cows and chickens for fun. The dolphin kill is obscene. Completely obscene. But so is all of the unnecessary death we partake in.

    3. “from the oil spill a few weeks ago, we killed atleast 4X as many animals as we actually ate in the us in the last year”
The oil spill is horrific. Absolutely and completely. And the residual death numbers will sadly not be known for many years to come. However, as the numbers stand now,
oil spill: 783 birds, 353 turtles and 41 mammals
Land animals killed for food in the US last year:
    Cattle/Calves: 38,000,000
    Pigs: 130,800,000
    Sheep/Goats: 5,200,000
    Rabbits: 3,000,000
    Chickens (meat): 8,742,000,000
    Chickens (eggs): 420,000,000
    Turkeys: 274,000,000
    Ducks: 23,900,000
Total – 9 Billion six hundred and thirty seven Million dead animals. (9,637,000,000)
In order for what you said to be correct, the oil spill would have had to have killed over 38.5 Billion animals.

    4. “amazon rain forest: acres of rain forest are getting cut down every minute which is killing their habitats …”
It is indeed. And what is causing us to chop down the rainforests at such an alarming rate? That would be cattle grazing. Almost 80% of the rainforest that has been chopped down is used to graze cattle.

    5. “and none of you had single evidence that over 0.1% of animals death was from eating them, you just said that it did”
Well…given the numbers of animals that died just for food in the US, in order for that number to be less than .1% of all animal deaths last year, 9 hundred and sixty three Billion, seven hundred Million (963,700,000,000) animals would have had to have died in the US last year. I’m thinking you might want to double check the math on that statement as, unless you are counting insects…I’d be willing to go out on a limb and say that that many animals don’t even Live in the US to begin with.

PS – Shark finning is due to consumption. People buy the fins to eat. If they didn’t buy them, finners wouldn’t be able to sell them..If finners can’t sell them, they won’t waste their time on a boat chopping off shark fins, they’ll find a different job to bring in the money. Same as all of the other food related killing we partake in – be it pigs, cows, sharks, or dolphins. It’s supply and demand. If there’s no demand, people are going to find other ways to make money.

  4. History shows that whenever humans move into a certain area, animals have been known to go extinct.

Q&A: why do people think human consumption extincts animals?

Question by : why do people think human consumption extincts animals?
in the stone ages, when we had no technology and had no killing machines, and toxic gases, we ate a large quantity of our diet from meat, animals no where near extinction, not until we were spilling gases, taking their homes away, pumping oil, ( the worst was they had no place to live) and then with the wolves in yellow stone is we shot them all, then the food chain collapsed and this all had nothing to do with human consumption, also , from the oil spill a few weeks ago, we killed atleast 4X as many animals as we actually ate in the us in the last year

Finning: one of the reasons of shark getting extinct, the japanese cut their fins off and throw them into the water, this is not consumption, this is out of control killing

coral kill: we are taking up their habitats, also the gas and trash if pulloting and killing animals, the gas is killing coral, killing habitat of the fish, killing all the food chain and leaving the sharks at the top of the food chain nothing to eat,

habitat distruction: same thing with the coral but were taking nice areas away . and they have no where to live . nothing to do with consumption

dolphin kill: japanaese kill dolphins for fun

and their is alteast 1000 other reasons , that are the 100% cause of animals dieing, tigers eat more meat than we do, they dont kill the envirement, same with any other top chain meat eater

last of all, the most serious reason is cutting down tress

amazon rain forest: acres of rain forest are getting cut down every minute which is killing their habitats and crouding up and causing diseases to spread, limited room , and will lead to death for lots of them,

also, our main sources of meat, is chicken, cows, and pork, and turkey, and eggs , which is all produced in captivity, which included milk , cheese, eggs, and meat. eating snakes and frogs and sharks and other animals high in the food chain are high in mercury , and are important for the food chain, hardly any one eats these sources.

and none of you had single evidence that over 0.1% of animals death was from eating them, you just said that it did
