First the 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine received redesigned intake and exhaust manifolds to help the car breathe better. The Hybrid Synergy Drive computer also received some recalibration. Next the engine is now beltless meaning the power accessories like power steering and the air conditioning compressor are all run off electricity which makes the engine more efficient. Finally the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid went on a diet and engineers found a way to remove 200 lbs. from the car. The 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid starts at 900. Power is also up over the last model with the current 2012 Camry Hybrid netting 200 horsepower. Fuel economy ratings are 43 MPG in the city and 39 MPG in the highway.
