Tesla is also credited with sending power through an air medium (Power being transmitted like a radio RF signal) instead of being sent through power lines, Apparently people only needed an antenna to receive the power. Also with AC current, Tesla fought for AC whereas I think it was Bell that wanted DC supplied to houses. Tesla is not widely known however most of his technical notes were belived to be confiscated upon his death.
