The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Won’t work in the US! American drivers are too stupid to be relied upon to act responsibly while sitting on top of a 2 ton piece of hydrogen filled steel. Maybe we should stop granting the privelege of driving to every idiot with a heartbeat & start mandating piblic transportation for anyone deemed too stupid to drive.

  2. Hydrogen can power both electric cell cars and internal combustion cars, and does not pollute. It is the most abundant element in the universe, and is relatively easy to make. If the petroleum companies can figure out a way to make a profit from it, it will be the next logical fuel source. If they can’t it will be suppressed. What we, as consumers need to know is that we can make this stuff in our own back yards with sunlight, rain water, solar panels, and some hardware. Cars can burn this stuff with some relatively simple modifications. It’s simply a matter of creating the infrastructure for this fuel. If we were genuinely determined to cut off our addiction to fossil fuels, and be totally energy independent, then we would be working on this right now. See the energy companies for what they are…..parasites. They don’t have any interest in our well being or our economic survival, only in our continued junkie-like dependence.

  3. The trouble with liquid hydrogen, ethanol & other non-fossil fules is that, unlike petroleum, which was created 100 million years ago by cooperating dinosaurs, we have to manufacture this stuff ourselves, which takes energy. There may be unlimited hydrogen in the Ocean, but separating it out & making it into fuel takes a LOT of energy. The amount of energy that must be input, plus the difficulties of transport & storage (it can’t be piped – it has to be trucked) mean that use of these fuels would probably be less energy efficient than just sucking harder for more petroleum.

  4. HYDROGEN IS BEING RESEARCHED BY ALMOST ALL CAR COMPANIES THE PROBLEM THEY ARE HAVING IS THE STORAGE TANK FOR THE CARS AND THE INFRA STRUCTURE FOR DELIVERY ON A MASS SCALE

What do you think about hydrogen being a viable fuel for cars? Will it grow or would it not work?

This question is regarding alternative fuel for cars. With gas prices being so high I thought this might be the next generation application to reduce gas prices. Any thoughts on this?
