No…it’s amazing that people again made SUV’s the most purchased class of vehicles in the country once gas prices dropped. There is plenty of oil and we need to use it until one of these other forms of energy is proven to actually be efficient and cost effective.

YES after GM, FORD and CHRYSLER bankrupt and BUSH & co get out of power will be able to built new clean cars. Before was impossible (OIL MAFIA)
To answer strictly, if you mean immediately, I’d say no.
I would LIKE to see more hybrid and electric cars, but we’ve got to fix the north american economy first. People need to pay their honest debts first, and feed their families. Then they can think about getting rid of their gas-powered car and getting a hybrid.
And I agree that eventually, possibly beyond my lifetime, we will be forced into using electric cars.
