Since you republicans make so much money and all, could you not afford another 25 cents per gallon and buy our oil elsewhere? It is not like you get a cut of the profits. They go to BP and Exxon.

Or we could just let them drill closer and then they could repair it easier and we wouldnt pay so much for the technology needed to drill that deep.

HOWEVER, your question brings up many things. point is, this country needs a valid energy policy. weve been saying that since the 70’s. oil should be viewed as a transition fuel to natural gas and nuclear power. of course we should use wind and solar where we can as well as get to work on a bigger, better, power grid. BUT don’t even think about cap and trade. that is nothing but a fresh market ripe for speculation! and i’m sorry for the coal mining states, but ya’ll are out of business. so there you go. i just solved the whole dang thang in 1.5 minutes. it just aint that complicated.
