Ti reduce the power needed, you need to change your operation from 12 – 14.25 volts DC to 2.5 – 3.5 volts DC, high current. Look a my “HHO ROD” converter circuit, saving you 60% or more on drive power draw, plus many other benefits. No PWM will be needed also saving you alternator draw
