  1. It doesn’t look good does it? I have been checking out the BP live feed video from time to time and I really cannot see that the flow has slowed any, only that the flow is very muddy now. I suppose that means that the well is spitting the mud out as fast as they are injecting it.

  2. When they first started the “top kill” I was thinking its going to work. Now I am not so sure. What do I know: nothing I only have hope. If I believed in God I would be praying. It is just terrible. An when I drive my truck down the road I am to blame as much as anyone else.

BP’s top kill project?

Question by tootall: BP’s top kill project?
Personally I don’t think it will because the physics of the procedure just don’t add up,I live on the Gulf coast myself and worked in the oilfield when I was younger.
Wednesday BP started this and said it would take 24 hrs to get an answer from them to see if the top kill is making any progress, today is Saturday and so far as usual since this happened all I’ve heard is extended deadlines again plus very vague updates from BP.
Kenny that’s kinda what ‘s got me concerned,my dad is a drilling consultant occording to him we’re talking about a 22″ riser where the mud comes right back out when you pump it in which the video doesn’t show it only shows the top of the BOP.
They actually have about 4 different places down there where the oil is escaping.
Long story short,I have a very grim outlook on this deteriorating situation.

i think it will help a little but not alot. also i think it is good that they are at least trying to stop the leak instead of just ignoring it i hope they get it fixed soon!
