The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. scientist reported it was more than likely to fail & instead of having one big central leak, they determined that they would have to deal with hundreds of smaller scattered leaks.
these scattered leaks may take a day, months or longer to find & fix.

  2. I blame YOU for not suggesting this option weeks ago.
Just think how important you would be if you had gone to the engineers at BP and informed them of your ingenious plan.

  3. This mud-cement thing sounds like another disaster that will only make the whole thing even more powerful. This well is under tremendous pressure and putting mud and cement down it will probably make it explode like a bomb.

Why didn’t BP try the “top kill” heavy mud injection to begin with to plug the oil well?

Question by flashy d: Why didn’t BP try the “top kill” heavy mud injection to begin with to plug the oil well?
Why wouldn’t you try the “top kill” to begin with? What is up with trying the concrete box first and why take this long? If this top kill works the whole oil spill could have been stopped in a week or two to begin with. Blame Obama!
So what if they have smaller leaks? That means less oil getting into the gulf than one big leak. It would look like the concrete box would work better sitting over small leaks than one big leak if it were to work at all.
Why would I inform them weeks ago of using the “top kill” method? Isn’t that why Obama is commander in chief?
If the “top kill” method works then heads need to roll. Isn’t the most fundamental principle of plugging a well of any kind to simple inject it with mud and cement?
doesn’t injecting something like mud or cement into the well and/or using explosives to make the oil well implode on itself come to mind as the first thing to try? it pretty sad that they still haven’t plugged it and basically let oil destroy so many fragile ecological habitats.

It’s not profitable.
