  1. A hydrogen fuel-cell-powered car works by reacting the hydrogen with oxygen in a fuel cell to generate electricity. The electricity is then used to turn an electrical traction motor to move the car. The Honda FCX Clarity uses this system.

    Basically, the Honda FCX Clarity is an electric car with a hydrogen fuel-cell electrical power supply.

  2. Just be aware, there are a few types of “hydrogen powered” car types out there.

    The hydrogen fuel cell description here is great, and that’s an emerging technology. If it takes off, we’ll need hydrogen filling stations around the country.

    Water cars are based on the electrolysis of water, but it takes so much gas to fuel the car only on hydrogen, i don’t think you can carry enough batteries in the car to go very far.

    Water assisted cars, or HHO-assisted, inject the hydrogen formed by electrolysis, into the air intake of a gasoline engine, trying to improve efficiency of the combustion. No new technology here, but might be a way to stretch our gasoline further.

I mean what are the processes that are going on inside a hydrogen-powered car? Like first there is a combustion process then etc. I can’t find an article on how it works in the internet. Links and sources are very appreciated.
