If by that you mean a waste of time? I don’t think so. Most Americans have become increasingly impatient with BP and the Federal government. To those who are on looking, it seems that nothing can be done fast enough. We are heading into day 35/36 of this catastrophe happening, and there seems to be no end in sight. As much as I dislike BP right now for failing to follow the correct procedures, I do think they are trying to get something done. Using a very risky “top kill” method, is better than sitting on your hands and doing nothing. Its risky because if the plan fails it may cause more damage. BP has run out of time. They have nothing to lose. If they don’t do anything then the disaster will grow worse, so it behooves them to try what they can. You might say it is wasting time, but I think its best to try because you may never know if it succeeds.
