I just realized even if they wanted Photo Voltaic cells. Where would all the electricity be going anyway. Leads me to wonder would the Amish religious commitment have a negative affect on a modern Green lifestyle. Or do the Amish still have an average carbon print that is less then most modern dwellers ? Understanding of course that many Amish farms have elected to use various chemical fertilizers and powered equipment to assist Dairy and Agriculture systems.
Considering also the Population of Amish communities may not be equal with the Modern Dwellers they would be compared too.
So maybe the fair example would be a One Amish Household of 10 or less people. Compared to a like size household of Modern Dwellers.
