The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Common sense would be posting links to your sources instead of ignoring facts that negate your argument. Good thing the FREE MARKET’s BS detector is going to limit your audience.

  2. @Robert12291944 You should finish your high school chemistry class before you go making an ass out of yourself. The oxygen from air makes up more than 70% of the mass of CO2.

  3. Government should charge the public for the real price of gas. Gas price should reflect the military effort put into protecting the Gulf Arab states, the sea lanes, the war in Iraq, the subsidies to the Palestinian terrorist authority, the environmental load of protecting the pipeslines, the load on the roadways bearing gas trucks, the subsidies to refineries etc etrc only then you get the real price of gas which should be around 10 bucks a gallon.

  4. This is why Shai Agassi has the best plan for electric cars. He separates battery ownership from the car. You switch your battery at a switching station rather then own it so you can always have the latest battery technology. His pl;an to install electric car infrustructure so we can switch the battery is happening right now in Israel. They will be off oil in 10 years.

Google Shai Agassi and his company Better Place.

Also look up shai Agassi at Microsoft Part 1 on Youtube.

  5. Volt run times vary according to temps = less efficient at lower temps, decreasing below 77°F Charge times depend on temp; batteries are less efficient if charged at lower temps and it takes longer. Battery life is affected too. Operation at 77F+ shortens it. So, the battery charges better at 77F and up BUT life is reduced in climates of 77F+. When temp is low, the Volt can power up its gas engine to heat battery cells to best running temp, 70 or so. So much for saving premium required gas.

  6. to emilluk:
1 gallon of gas weighs 6.5 pounds. So if you add air to it and burn it it produces 19 lbs of CO2. You are an idiot.

  7. I bought a Ford Fusion Last year, I’m happy with it and most of all it doesn’t look like some spastic import huverround. Best way to solve any problems is get out of Calif like I’m going to do. Life is so much nicer in the Heartland Area.

  8. The cost to charge a Nissan leaf electric car in California is about the same as buying gas at .40 cents per-gallon in my town that’s about a $4.00 per-gallon saving at 16,000 miles per-year my and my old car gets around 23 miles per-gallon 16,0000 divide by 23= 695 X $4,00 $2,782 per-year saving the car comes with a 8 year 100,000 mile warranty on the battery. Let’s get back to the saving $17,387 in 100,000 miles

  9. Electric cars are truly clean and automotive batteries are one of the single most recycled items that are man made. What is the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by burning one gallon of gasoline? The answer is 19.4 pounds of CO2 emissions by burning a gallon of gasoline”.

  10. Hi David,

Actually, in California, if you can prove ownership of an electric vehicle, PG&E will drop the electrical rate during the “charging hours you declare” – like 9 pm to 7 am or whatever, to the lowest available market rate. 4 cents per kilowatt hour when I looked at it a couple of months ago.

I haven’t been interested in the Volt junk, but I’m on the waiting list for a Tesla Model S.

  11. David,
Awesome, simple, honest and factual. Thank you for your time and energy to produce this informative and educational video.

  12. Dear DarthN,
California electricity is the most expensive in the nation. It is as low as it is because we have two (TWO!) nuclear power plants in the state keeping rates down. You DO support nuclear, right? And if you hate gasoline so much, why not run cars on natural gas? It is abundant and cheap.

  13. @wahlman2007, your own figures put the lie to your conclusion. At 10,000 cars per year, the volt would need to sell about 830 units per month — or at least 3000 cars by now. Furthermore, most sales should have already occurred (People like to buy new cars at the start of the model year). The volt is a dog all the way round and is not selling. Consider that Ford sells more F150 trucks, *IN A DAY*, than Volts have sold period.

  14. The Volt is selling as expected. Chevrolet started selling them in December 2010 and was going to produce 10,000 for the 2011 model year. All are being sold, and production of these 10,000 units should conclude in 3Q11 and all will be sold within days of hitting the dealerships. Which other car can say the same? For the 2012 model year, expect something close to 60,000 units. I’m against all forms of government subsidies, but the Volt is selling well.

  15. I wonder what explains the high PG&E rates, besides the tiered rate schedule? They must be raking in the dough. The Volt carries a $7,500 rebate from the government, and GM still cannot sell them. The Volt is environmentally cleaner only if the electric power is generated at a plant that uses non-polluting technology and the power grid is efficient with little transmission losses.

  16. It is time to shut down the FRAUD of the green movement because we are not destroying the earth we are destroying our country because of ignorant people that do not study they just follow the leader without thinking. This group is a joke and we need to shut them down and cut them off or this country is DONE! There are much more of us and we need to stop being silent and speak up and speak out and shut this green crap off.

  17. California Electricity is still cheaper and dare I say “Cleaner” than gas. Volts weren’t sold because of good old fashion price gouging.

    Now that’s real common sense.

  18. @deutchcarlove ya of course its looks best on audi, lol. they pretty much started it.

  19. @RefreshChannel lol. I saw this car at the NYC Auto Show, it was actually impressive…I still think LED’s look best on Audi though

  20. very clean looking lines on the car the rear of the car is beautiful the only thing i didn’t like was the front of the car it just looked like it should of had a complete front bumper as oposed to the grill design that this car has but apart from that a very luxurious looking car

  21. the problem with asian vehicle design is that they either copy other car companies concept elements, or they make something out of proportion that allows the customer to grow on it eventually or not at all

  22. It looks just like the previous model from the side. It’s a little too swollen looking, I always owned all the gs’ and recently switch to the is f which I’m going to stick to. Nice car btw but just not sleek enough.

  23. you people commenting on cars..no side mirrors because their replaced with cameras instead something infiniti tried a while ago..the front end needs some getting use to but its still an amazing car and lexus is on top of thier game..

  24. That grill looks like Hitler’s mustache…don’t like it! Car manufacturers need to know that those LED lights only work on Audi design so please stop it!

  25. Umm. Yeah… What’s up with the side door mirrors. What type of technology is that. Is it just a camera or what? Someone tell me.

California Pulls the Plug on Electric Cars

David Spady reveals how California preaches about using electric cars, but makes it more expensive for electric car drivers.

( www.TFLcar.com ) Is this the next generation of the Lexus GS? When a automobile manufacturer launches a new car they often show it first to the press first. The car company provides reporters with video of the car. Here is the very first video of the Lexus LF-Gh hybrid Concept on the road. We added our own music and editing to the video to bring you the first look at the newest Lexus concept car that signals the new design direction for Lexus.
