The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. You know it’s funny that you make the correlation of the end of the world and this horrific oil spill. I woke up last night from a dream and the first thing that I thought was that the world was going to end because of this oil spill. What you say makes sense because everything in this ecosystem is interrelated. The oceans, the land, the air, etc. all affect each other. If there is an imbalance in the ecosystem, then everything else will perish. There seems to be no end in sight to this oil spill, which makes it seem like it’s going to turn the ocean black. There is so much clean up to do, that who knows how long it is going to take to realistically clean all of this up. The environment in the areas affected is also going to be greatly impacted. All-in-all, it’s a no win situation, so let us all say our prayers and try to live our lives to the fullest while we still can.

  2. It’s true the efforts to cap the well have failed, but much of the problem is that the leak is 5000 feet deep in the ocean. Note that the spill wouldn’t have happened if the Blowout Preventer had not failed, which was almost certainly the result of negligence on the part of the company that installed it – and ultimately BP’s responsibility. BP will continue to try to minimize the oil spilling from the well plus clean up the mess. There may not be a permanent solution until the relief well is completed – which may be another month or two (the relief well will intersect the leaking well and close it). However, the oil will only affect a small part of the Gulf of Mexico.

It isn’t “The End Of Days” and the leak won’t poison the oceans of the world. Do realize that crude oil leaks into the ocean from “seeps” constantly, and crude oil is biodegradable. The oil spill is bad and I am from Louisiana so it affects me personally, but it’s a local disaster. You wouldn’t be asking your frantic “question”: if exactly the same thing was happening off the coast of Asia or Africa.

You also don’t understand what happened during Katrina or why about 5% of New Orleans’ population wasn’t able to evacuate. That event also was overcome by the hype from both the left and right, combined with hysterical, inaccurate news reports.

You might not like my answer, but it’s reality.

Q&A: The Disaster in The Gulf… What Can Happen?

Question by Alexis: The Disaster in The Gulf… What Can Happen?
I personally think that this is a sign that we are in the LAST STAGES of life. What people do not understand is that this oil is spilling and leaking in WATER… if this happened on land, they would’ve been stopped it. Water spreads, it is NOT going to stay in the same place. Now, no one knows exactly how much oil is underneath the OCEAN FLOOR, and we can’t know. This oil is leaking DEEP inside the ocean floor, where the pressure is EXTREMELY heavy and NO ONE, not even humans can go down there… divers, snorkelers, NO ONE- they can DIE! It has been reported that the oil reached FLORIDA and next will hit the ATLANTIC OCEAN, EAST COAST… NEW YORK, what can we do but wait… Everything they are trying is useless. Oil floats on top of water, it is so much heavier and thicker, imagine the pressure underneath there? The cap that they tried putting on there is USE LESS, the oil will just blow the thing off. And its NOT going left or right… it is shooting UP, for the EARTHS SURFACE. And when it reaches the East Coast, it will NOT just stay there… it will travel to the CARIBBEAN, and then to other parts of the world… If anything and this thing ruins the oceans, then we will all eventually DIE. We cannot live without PURIFIED water… we cannot live without water PERIOD… the world as we know it will come to an end. And they said there waiting for the oil to stop itself, we have NO idea when its going too stop. NOTHING last forever, that incomprehensible… but who knows when it will end. It can be tomorrow, next week , next year, in the next 10 years… we DO NOT know! So, why is everyone consuming there lives and stuff over this? I understand this is a disaster a GLOBAL CATASTROPHE and something MANKIND has never seen before but what can we do… stuff happen, things happen! In the bible it says “THE SEAS/OCEANS WILL BOIL, AND WE WILL ALL PERISH” this is a sign Jesus is coming for His world… He said when He comes back, it wouldn’t be a flood… but He will come with “FIRE AND BRIMSTONE”… this disaster gives a chance for Americans and the World, to open there eyes and see the signs that we are in the last days. AND another thing…
They need too stop blaming BP and OBAMA, what the hell do they want him to do, go underwater and fix the problem himself… and I’m sure if that was possible he would’ve done it- ANYONE would’ve done it. Things happen and there is NOTHING that any of us can do. It was a tragic ACCIDENT… and I’m sorry to all those who lost their loved ones, but come on. BP… they aren’t OIL SPILL EXPERTS, is that even a career? They blamed BUSH for HURRICANE KATRINA, now come on… how can you blame a Human Being for a NATURAL Disaster (I repeat “NATURAL”). What could he have done, they warned the people in New Orleans that a Hurricane was coming but some of them chose to be ignorant and NOT listen… it natural, Hurricanes happen (The Bible says the Earth wouldn’t be perfect, there will be killing, violence, natural disasters such as; Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Tsunami’s, etc.)
***PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT THIS THING IS SPILLING IN WATER AND THERE IS NOTHING BP OR OBAMA OR ANYONE CAN DO, BUT JUST LET IT DIE DOWN ITSELF… AND THEN AGAIN IT WAS A COMPLETE “ACCIDENT”***
PS: THAT’S THE PROBLEM WITH AMERICA, THEY ALWAYS LOVE BLAMING SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING…

BTW. –> PLEASE DO NOT SAY ANYTHING “RUDE”… THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, THANK YOU. FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ANY COMMENTS OR SUGGESTIONS!

Ok, I actually agree with humans are probably getting near the end of our time on earth. I’m not saying very near future, but within the next 200-300 years I do not see us surviving. We think we are smart, can do whatever we want and get away with it, but that is not true…. This oil spill is just a small example of a stupid humans can really be. Eventually a bigger scale disaster could devastate our race….
Ok, enough will the “Doom” theories. As for the spill, I agree that we should not blame Obama. This was not really his fault. As for BP, I feel they are to blame entirely. Their response was far too slow to try and fix the leak, and this proves all they wanted to do was save their well, and thus, save money. Just another example of large companies getting greedy in my opinion.
