@Llortsaccount The Bush administration almost doubled the national debt from 5.7B to 10.7B. Most of that went to paying for two wars, giving tax cuts to the rich, and creating a for-profit version of medicare. I think I agree with you, it would have been wiser to spend money on getting off of our oil dependency rather than getting involved with 2 perma-wars (Iraq and Afghanistan). We could be at 35-50% renewable energy now. We might of had some jobs for people. But that did not happen.
@Llortsaccount Is the name calling necessary? Seriously, conservatives love big oil (oil and gas), coal, and nuclear power. Your party is heavily funded by Koch Industries and Exxon-Mobil. Both companies are highly anti-environmental, anti-renewable energy and actually promote propaganda against Climate Change. Your party is against making CO2 polluters pay for their external costs.
@Llortsaccount .. And a “true” conservative would have done what?
thanks!
The big Oil corporations are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.
We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating ur own electricity now.

Electricity from wind can be produced at 3.6 cents per kWh, which is competitive with hydro.
Funding to research damless hydro and geothermal was cut by Bush in 2007.
