  1. @mcximus 10 hours with 120V and 4 hours with 240V. Also, I think the Camry is a boring car compared to the Volt.

  2. @romanmicagearguy Ok, so this might explain why I saw (on YouTube) a Chevy Volt do 0-60 in about 8 seoonds. :)

  3. The Chevy Volt pipeline is overflowing. GM is sitting on 6,300 Volts which represents 154 days of inventory at current sales levels and that’s no way to sell cars for a profit. As such, GM is shutting down production of the Volt for five weeks beginning on March 19. Not surprising cause the car is outrageously priced maybe give more rebates on these POS you might sell more you wonder why people by the competition. GM failed again.

  4. @jonajs98 and I would be better off buying a Volt because YOU ARE IMPRACTICAL

  5. @lgreen5 that was 0 to 60 with 2 guys in the winter. Normal 0-60 is 8.8. Going up mountains, the generator, the battery, and the 2 electric motors hook up and provide 200 + hp. I go up the siskiyous (the vine is a mole hill). I zip along, passing slow pokes. You have to put it in mountain mode. Go to youtube/ chevrolet volt: how does it work? for a cool animated demo of how the 3 motors work. The performance is great. You need to test drive one. Take it up a hill.

  6. @lgreen5 there is a sport mode that makes it 2-3 secs quicker, but its a hybrid vehicle, you dont buy it for uber speed.

  7. If you haven’t driven a Volt, you don’t know what you are talking about. It is a very solid car, handles well, the interior is excellent and most people are getting more than 35 miles of AER 9 months of the year and around 25-30 in the winter. Plus it uses American electricity instead of foreign oil most of the time. Great car.

  8. @lgreen5 Have you test driven the Volt? I own one, and it has all the power you would want. In “sport” mode, it blows most cars away off the line. I’ve owned many hot cars in my 45 years of driving, and the Volt is no slouch. Go take it for a test drive, and you will be surprised.

  9. @mcximus 8 hours to charge on a 120v outlet, 4 hours on a 240v circuit, and it takes a fully charged battery to travel 40 to 50 miles, and another 300 to 400 miles in extended range thanks to a gas generator

  10. Camry all day everyday. Volt takes 10 hours to charge and how long long can one fully charged battery travel?

  11. @RichardJoash Oh yeah? ’cause you totally know what I look like right?

I said two magical words. “I think” < opinion smh.. trolls these days.

  12. My 2000 Camry gets 36 mpg highway. On Christmas, I drove it from Maryland to NYC and from NYC to Boston and I still had half a tank of gas left. I could easily go 600+ miles in one tank of gas. Hybrids are a waste of money if only looking for fuel economy. If they do indeed pollute the environment less, then it can be considered. All these computers and crap put into cars nowadays will only cause painful problems down the road.

2012 Chevy Volt vs Toyota Camry Hybrid Mashup Review & 0-60 MPH Drive

( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Chevrolet Volt and the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid represent two family cars that have a similar yet completely different way of saving fuel. The Volt is both an electric car and a plug-in hybrid in that it can run on both electricity (about 40 miles) and gas. The Camry is a more traditional hybrid in that cannot go a very long distance on just electricity but it use its electric motor in conjunction with the gas engine to go further on a gallon of gas. So which is the better family car? Check out this mashup review to find out.
