@ghpink . Phrophesy is to better prepare you for the future. I don’t fear the ending of this world, only for the people whose hearts are not given to Christ Jesus. I know my place is in heaven, and I need not to worry of the end. I am saved.
@you all. There is more proof that Jesus walked this earth, performed miracles, and rose again. Than there is that George Washington was president. Read history books.
@Keyboredom Good Comment. Did you see the news where they are saying a major part of the Gulf is dead? Japan’s nuclear fallout in the water will be hitting the U.S. not too long from now. Who knows what else will happen in the meantime
@rocksiphone This may be a stretch but there is talk that “Chernobyl” means Wormwood in Russian, but there is also discussion as to whether or not the logo of BP is actually a wormwood bloom. If so, it would certainly make this very plausible as to the 3rd sign. The smoke from the platforn certainly looks like a great trumpet…and whether or not it has poisoned a third of the waters remains to be seen,
I do not know ,or claim to know if a Revelation passage predicted the oil spill or referred to something else. I do think that many people have been able to predict the future on a time line.and Revelations is no exception,The Bible is a holy book, with the power of God in it.There are other holy books with truth about God..but the Bible is a great one. God is great and yes Jesus was truly great.Many paths to God have truth. God watches over this world I praise God from personal experience!!

@rocksiphone Hi, thought I guess it is possible that John could have been writing about a nuke tipped missle, it more likely that it is just what he described… a heavenly body that crashes to earth. One good thing to remember about interpreting the Bible is if it makes sense to take it literally, take it literally.

@peridoprincess If the bible is the truth, why did the Epic of Gilgamesh have the Noah story in it which predates the bible by a thousand years? I have studied the bible, Babylonian, Sumerian, Egyptian, mahabarata, Celtic, Chinese, Quaran, I-ching and many other sources. I just don’t stop at once source for my information. If it works for you, great! I am much to curious to stop at one source! At any rate, we still have one thing in common and that’s god. :) So good luck in your journey!
@ghpink i don’t know of your God, only mine and i read about Him in the Holy Bible. i’ve been in that position to where the Holy Bible didn’t make sense much, however, the more you seek Him, you will know. He gives wisdom to those that are obedient to Him…. how much would it make sense that He gives everybody His heavenly wisdom, when they are out wanting to live thier own life? Seek Him, and then you will find the Truth. It’s that easy. Let me know how it goes down, God bless you.

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter

@peridoprincess That is called a self fulfilling prophecy! It doesn’t matter if things exist, only that man thinks they exist. If there is a god, he is not full of revenge and doesn’t interfere in the life of man or we would be able to prove it. I believe in god, I just don’t believe in a god of revenge. There is no common sense in the bible, except if you lived 2000 years ago, but yet people still hold on to it. If humans intend to evolve in to the future, we won’t with the ideas in the bible

@ghpink really???? common sense??? wow, buddy. common sense should tell you that you have the right to disagree, and still not look so ignorant, but no, you had to go all out and make yourself look worse….. “when will man grow up out of his dark ages and enter this age of reason”??? they are in the light. Jesus is the only way to eternal life, not man’s age of reason. ask God for eyes to percieve and ears to understand, and you’ll be given… God bless all ya’ll….

i think of 2 verses (just paraphrasing) 1 AND the water will turn to worm wood 2 and the water will turn into blood or something like that but i really think the oil-spill has something to do with revelations
@chrisdx69x You need help. I am glad we are entering an age of reason, where thoughts like this will soon die out. These types of thoughts cannot exist in an age of reason. When will man grow up, out of his dark ages and enter this age of reason? This is all determined on how long it takes people like you to learn some common sense. This is going to take a long time :)
@chrisdx69x Why? If its proven that you cannot use prophecy to change an event, then what good is it reading it, other then it makes you fear the future and not plan for after the revelations. It makes you practice bad habits and doesn’t help in any way, other then to vent our own fears. If jesus were a real man that walked the earth, that was intelligent as everyone has claimed, he would not want you to read prophecy. That is your dogma that is telling you that.
@chrisdx69x Your prophecy is useless if you can’t use it to predict the future. The problem with prophecy is that it never gives exact dates. If it doesn’t give you exact dates, then how are you supposed to change the event? The answer is, you can’t, so therefor prophecy is useless. Its only use is to satisfy the addiction to fear, that man has. Name one event that has been changed in history or changed because of prophecy. You can’t. So what good is prophecy if you can’t alter the event?
@ghpink The right there was prophesy, for Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of the fish and on the third day was spued out. Jesus was saying that even before he died. That he would be crucified, dead for 3 days. And raise from the dead as jonah did from the fish. The lord called the fools that could interpret the weather but not the prophesy, hypocrites. The phophesy is layed before us so we can understand it not try to link it. It means exactly what it says. A literal and symbolic view per say.

@ghpink And the bible would not have prophesy in it if the lord did not want us to read it. Thats like saying “Im a doctor but i skipped a quarter in anatomy. ” The whole body of christ is built around prophesy. Without it. It is not a full body. and Jesus himself says that we should read prophesy.
