Question by sedated.groupie: What’s wrong with the engine for a 2003 Saturn Ion to not accelerate accurately?
Between 25 and 45 miles an hour if you accelerate to quickly it does this jerking back and forth thing. Is it something that needs to be checked out quickly? And if so, do you know if it’s going to be expensive?

sounds like transmission problem to me, take to saturn to get check out,

have someone check your fuel pressure and timing
most likly tps,(throttle position sensor)the check engine light shoud be on and codes stored,should be checked imed.by a qualified technician with a scan tool.!!!!
I would have the fuel pressure checked to make sure there is no problem with that. We have had a few saturns in the shop lately and they all have clogged up convertors. You can take it to a muffler shop and have them check that.
