  1. When ASRock first came out, I was like “ASRock!? Must be one of those ripoff brands”. Now my bitch ass gaming rig has an ASRock gaming board. The lesson is, girls, when you meet a guy don’t judge him instantly, talk to him, know him better and then you start to love him.

  2. Just tested this today. From CPU Vcore Voltage 1.092 V it decreases to 0.850 V great for normal task like browsing.. Thanks Asrock glad my mobo supports this ^__^

  3. This doesnt work! I tested the consumption with a hardware watt analyzer and its the same in off and online mode in IES. Use Cool.n.quiet in bios and cpu thermal and lower cpu, not quad but dual.

  4. Ive got an ASUS 880GHX mobo using an AMD Phenom2 X4 3.4Ghz, 4 Gb Ram and running 64bit Windows 7, with a nice wee second hand MSI nvidia 260 GTX card.

I have had ZERO problems using the IES and the instant boot programs that come with the board, and no problems running games while these programs are active.
For the record, I have no interest in overclocking any components in my system, and as a result I never have any hardware problems.

    Just saying.

  5. Whats theat thing the PC is plugged into thats showing the system power/wattts?

  6. I’ve been running this ASRock board for about 2 months and just realised this feature via a pamphlet I found in the box, so I launched it, click the big green button, BAM! BSOD!! Stop 0xFC “An attempt was made to execute to non-executable memory”

    Anyone else had this?

  7. by my calculations, i will save $0.50 per year running my computer 16 hours per day for 365 days. THANK YOU ASROCK!

  8. I have a AsRock motherboard 790GX pro, and I am very happy with this feature. I would recomend anyone to buy AsRock motherboards. Even big companies could save lots of money in electricity if they use IES supported mobos.
    Keep it up AsRock :D

  9. The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.
We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

  10. The 64bit version of this is better than the 32bit. In windows7 x64 you can just leave it on all the time, doesnt matter if you are playing games or whatever, it pumps the right amount of power to your pc at all times. Windows XP x32bit is another story however, as people have said, you need to turn it off when gaming, otherwise the games get jerky… and this can be annoying when you forget you have got it running and wonder why games are jerky in XP lol. Big thumbs up for Win7.

  11. dude! how to you get this enabled? please give a detailed instruction! thanks ahead
    Godbless

  12. I used to have an onboard videocard on my Asrock A780GMH and used IES (Energy Saver) all the time. Since i got my HD5750, I noticed that using Energy Saver causes my computer to restart randomly so I turned it off. Particularly strange if you ask me, but I find it interesting. I don’t think IES is perfect, but it does save energy…

  13. Отличный ролик, наглядно видно степень энергопотребления. Спасиб.

  14. this is a good powersaver, but u should disable this in terms of playing games..

  15. Please help me with this problem.
    I use A780GXH + AMD 955BE.
    Windows 7 Ultimate.
When i want to enable IES i got this error:
“to enable this feature you must reboot the system and enter BIOS setup utility to set the cool n quite to enabled”
BUT – CnQ is ENABLED in my BIOS.
    What should I do?

  16. asrock gets better and better !!!!

asrock uses things that other brands didn use so this is very inovative and its a big step to make GREEN IT more popular !!!!

keep on asrock !!! you get better and better

  17. IES software idea:
Normal use: IES ON (phase 2)
    Gaming: IES “off” (phase 4)

  18. that happen to me with my games. This is a great feature only when doing simple things like playing music, watch the web etc.

  19. I noticed that if y use IES and y have powerful computer it can use only 30% (or something) of all power -_- SO this is useless program! (i tried this to World in conflict – With IES max FPS 25 without IES max FPS 75)

  20. i love my asrock board but his statement off the asrock board being able to money and the earth i was kinda like wtf one mobo save the whole world

  21. IES works very good, i used this, but my mobo aren’t good to this. Is very simple.

Intelligent Energy Saving (IES)
