  1. Biofuels are a wide range of fuels which are in some way derived from biomass. The term covers solid biomass, liquid fuels and biogases. (Basically biofuels are fuels derived from the energy stored up in something that was recently living)

    Some examples:

    Bioethanol is an alcohol made by fermenting the sugar components of plant materials and it is made mostly from sugar and starch crops. With new technology, other plants such as trees and grasses, are also used as feedstocks for ethanol production.

    Biodiesel is made from vegetable oils, animal fats or recycled greases.

if a plant based product that has been raised using deadly chemicals and artificial fertilizer to grow a nutrient free product, it can’t be eaten so it’s turned into biofuel to get rid of it.
