Should nations continue to develop this form of “clean” energy or scrap the whole nuclear energy program?

Nuclear energy is still the safest and cleanest energy source. No other energy plant would have survived any better after a disaster of this magnitude.
As far as solar and wind, after 30 years of government subsidies, we still get less than 5% of our energy. It just doesn’t work as a replacement for oil/gas/coal/nuclear.
