  1. Most modern engins are built mainly of Aluminium however some components are still made of steel such as the crankshaft connecting rods and exhaust/intake valves. It is unlikely that these steel components would become magnetised as they are not under the influence of any electrical current or field.

Like aluminum, iron, magnesium. Percentage of composition would be better.

Older engine blocks (before the early 1980s) in general were made of cast iron. Today, almost all engine blocks are made of cast aluminum. Aluminum does not have any magnetic characteristics — Iron does. Some of the attached parts to an aluminum block may have magnetic properties.

If you apply a moving magnet to any metal conductor it will generate eddy currents in the metal and those eddy currents will produce a magnetic force of their own.
