Question by : Why don’t the oil companies have a tanker ready for accidents in oil ports?
The Exxon Valdez have not have been such a mess, I still don’t buy their producrts. Ports where tankers are loaded and unloaded should have the gear ready for a big spill. Why didn’t our Commander in Cheif have the NAVY at Oil Rig while buring and putting up containment stuff? Should’t there be a shut off valve on off shore rigs at ground level? Will BP claim bankrupcy so won’t have to pay everyone effected by their mess.

There was a shut off valve. It blew up.
They are not ready because we have deregulated them to the point that they don’t have to be.
