Are nanotechnologies and such truly a way to make things more environmentaly friendly or just?

Nano tech like any technology can be used for good or ill.
In many ways we are better off today with technology at least in terms of lifespan. As to quality of life you should decide for yourself.
Nano tech will give us self cleaning windows and toilet bowls and enable peole to live for 200 years.
It will also enable much cleverer designer diseases for terrorist to use.
Th H-bomb is not a daily event for us and hopefully non-evils will not be either.
It is a powerful tool.
All powerful tools are subject to misuse.
The key is human ethics and morality.
