The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Well, technically, they can ‘blow up’, but not in a nuclear sense of the
word. They can have a power spike which flashes a large portion of the
water to steam and can cause a steam explosion (in certain designs). But a
runaway nuclear explosion can’t happen as the reactor vessel rips itself
apart with heat forces before the neutron reactions can ‘runaway’ and cause
a nuclear explosion. This, like you mention in the video, has much to do
with the enrichment, but more accurately, the overall reactor
configuration. Modern reactors have negative heat coefficients, so as they
heat up, they like to dial back their own power.
