The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. I have a secret way to prevent bird kills by wind turbines. It is the
karmic use of shambalic energy. More birds get killed by office windows
than rotors. You can use shambalic energy in a ritual cabalic way of energy
exorcism to extinguish the luminous glowing orbs inside the work havens and
lo, the birds flieth not into glassy walls. Other forms of shambalism may
entice Avian life forms to select alternate pathways.

  2. Worked for a major turbine Comp:Gas,Steam and Wind. The large wind turbine
looses a blade and the whole thing come down.

  3. “Darrius Turbine” = Officially DEPRECIATED turbine design, see ‘Gorlov’!
“Gyromill” = Most common backyard wind turbine!
“Gorlov Helical Turbine” = Current evolution of the Darius turbine design!
“Savonius” = Officially DEPRECIATED turbine design, see ‘Gyromill’!

  4. where the fuck do you come from primitive guy? Wind is probably the most
efficient way of producing electricity and and if you are against it go
back to your cave burning charcoal and crude oil.

  5. that composting toilet must do really well with you around, mate – Unlike
you I don’t go around parroting unsubstantiated rubbish, so you can talk
about glib – heres a FACT – yes I have a small VAWT, it has yet to kill
    anything.

  6. oil spills habitat destruction due to mining in order to acquire coal acid
rain caused by sulphur dioxide emissions coal fired power plants release
radioactive materials (look it up if you don’t believe me) if you are not
satisfied with the list i have provided please do even the slightest amount
of research and you will instantly be proven wrong.

  7. Show proof that fossil fuels kill animals and I’ll believe it. And don’t
start with the global warming crap. I assume you’ve heard of the numerous
ice ages this planet has had. All that ice thawed, you know wanna know how?
It certainly wasn’t because of people burning fossil fuels.

  8. Save Energy you could cut your energy bills in half,or even completely
    eliminate them!ABOUTSOLARCELLS.COMXA.COM

  9. Don’t bother. People like him will never get it. It’s just easier to watch
a bird get hit by a turbine fin than to imagine animals dying off due to
the effects of toxicity and pollution on the ecosphere and whatnot.

  10. hahahaha…I wonder how many species and ecosystems coal and oil have
destroyed? Is that still the better alternative for you?

  11. dumb stance – do you have windows in your house? bet they kill more birds
etc flying into them, than these would.

  12. if you use a windmill you will probably end up killing a smaller amount of
organisms than getting your power from conventional methods such as coal. I
am aware that you live off-grid so wind power may have no advantage over
other renewable energy sources but for people living “on-grid” wind
turbines maybe killing 2,000 birds per year is a lot better than coal
plants killing hundreds of thousands of birds as well as any other type of
    animal per year.

  13. Not to say that Wind power isn’t awesome. If I didn’t think it was awesome,
    I wouldn’t be here.

  14. So you are trying to teach us that birds and honeybees are able to be
killed by fast moving blades? Interesting, except for the fact that more of
these animals will die without wind turbines to make energy for humans that
live in areas that can not profit off of solar or water energies.

  15. I’ll just let you carry on thinking that burning fossil fuels is a better
solution than using wind power. At this point I don’t even care anymore. I
will not reply to any future comments nor do I wish for you to reply.
    Goodbye you person.

  16. You are SEVERELY underestimating the power of wind and there should be a
way of collapsing this thing should a storm come through. Second, where
are you going to get the field current? Will you have your battery bank
    permanently connected to the alternator?

  17. Couldn’t you have flipped the blades 180 degrees to change the rotation
    direction?

  18. Could you not just have the alternator facing backwards and have a drive
    shaft and belt system?

  19. Your belt analogy is correct, but use gears instead, that way your first
    alternator will run backwards.

  20. Thanks for the vid. How much wind do you need for your blades to turn? Here
in central Florida there is about 4-5 mph wind – that’s about it. So I
would need a turbine blade that is very efficient. Thanks again.

  21. he can’t flip it on hundred eighty degrees there would be nothing to attach
it to end it they are only one sided blade there is nothing to catch the
    wind on the other side

  22. Great project congratulations.
I have a suggestion if you want to try it .
Replace the alternator pulley with a skateboard wheel or similar and make
direct contact to the big pulley of the wind blades .
This way you don’t have the friction of the beld. For this situation it
would nice to find a way put a spring to pull down the alternator wheel to
make sure it is always in contact with the big pulley.
It’s just a thought, don’t if it would work.

  23. you probably fixed it by now anyway but you could just convert it from a
pulley to a gear system by replacing the small pulley with a
    skateboardwheel or something

  24. The alternators will put out the same rotating either way. The correct way
will just result in more air flow through it. Since you have no hot air
from an engine, you had no problem with cooling. Also if you use a cog belt
or serpentine belt, there would be a lot less Horsepower loss in the belt.
I personally found this out years ago when I made generators on small
engines. I want to make a wind generator, but I want to make mine with
variable pitch blades. Where did you find those aluminum blades?

  25. hey my six year little girl came up with a solution flip the blades 180
    degrees it will spin clockwise

  26. loosen ur U-bolts and rotate the fan blades to the same angle but in the
other direction. the rotation will reverse.

  27. I am working on setting up a different system in my Apartment. My goal is
instead of Wind Turbine, I would hook it up with a Bike. From my basic
understanding – You need: Bike / Alternator / Battery Bank / Invertor <- I believe this is all I need to start the basic concept. This will be a 1 man project. The goal is to support a Battery Bank which will supply Power to a Basic Hydroponic system that uses no more electricity than a fish tank. Any pointers would help.

  28. I’m new to turbines and recently bought a 750 watt one and it never turned
the seller swapped hubs and blades with me still no luck, my son says it’s
got to be hooked to a battery or inverter first but I figured it shouldn’t
matter to test could you offer ideas

  29. I’d recommend a brake, unless the blades are 100% balanced they will
vibrate and the material WILL fracture at some point, if that’s at high
speed there will be serious amounts of energy stored in the blades, even
the broken off parts – damage could catastrophic. I would also go with a
chain, for friction losses, but also ease of maintenance, no risk of
slippage if maintained and vastly extended life. However, it looks a good
rig, now looking for the next part.

  30. Can’t you just turn the blades around so the “backside” is in front? It
appears that the blades are just held in with u-bolts (cant tell if they
    are ‘keyed’ in anyway).

The brake would be a good idea if you wanted to stop it for whatever
reason…..high winds, malfunction of some kind, mount breaks….who knows.
If that thing is hauling ass and you wanted to stop it, you wouldn’t be
able to….. Its a ‘just in case’ thing.

  31. I’m a bit concerned about the safety of this thing. Will it be high enough
that some kid or animal won’t get cut to pieces by the blades?
