The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Sadly it seems like the only viable option, due to increased GLOBAL WARMING (yes its called global warming not climate change) and the modernisation of developing nations,

India, currently is negotiating a deal with Aus for uranium, i hope i didn’t go too off topic!

  2. Well, other forms of energy create so much more pollution that nuclear energy is the safest, most viable source of energy. I’ll admit it’s far from perfect, but considering the low output of energy collection devices such as solar and wind, nuclear energy has a huge output for a very low energy input.

And nuclear power plants are among the most efficient power sources we have. Coal and nuclear plants are about 30-40% efficient. In contrast, the human body is only 20% efficient. Until we can develop a system of fusion that creates an acceptable amount of energy to warrant the energy required to start the reaction, fission is our best bet.

  3. Yes, there is a problem of waste, but the thing with nuclear power is that it does not produce carbon emissions, which are the cause of global warming and which traditional methods of producing power, by burning coal and gas, produce vast quantities of.

I am not advocating nuclear power, but that is the rationale for saying it is ‘clean’.

  4. You really don’t have a clue, do you?

    This is pathetic.

Watch CNN and just do everything they tell you. It’s not the truth, but that doesn’t matter, does it?

At least you don’t have to think.

France, the biggest bunch of lunatic losers in the world, have run their country on clean, cheap, safe nuclear energy for 50 years!!!

Idiots in America that can only recite the fairy tales they are told have forced us to remain dependent on Carbon based energy sources.

    You probably vote too. Dang.

They say that nuclear Energy is clean for the environment, but the waste product that is left over is not?

Recyclable and has to be buried under ground and is hazardous for 100 of thousands of years…How is this any better than buring garbage in a landfill and being unable to use the land?
