Question by Roy: BP oil capping, how likely is it to succeed?
Now that the junk shot/top-kill failed, they are trying to cut off the damaged pipe and put a replacement cap on it. So far they have been very unsuccessful at containing it. To all oil extraction experts, how likely is the capping going to succeed? what are its obstacles? how much oil is it likely to contain (I understand that there will be significant leaks until a relief well is drilled in august)? How long until the results come out?

Im nit oil extraction expert, but i am an engineer, and these guys dont know that the hell they are doing.. there desperate and i think its going to be awhile before they will find a feasible solution
