Construction is about to get underway on a major wind farm in Kahuku.
Today, the blades of the wind turbines are at a warehouse in Barbers Point.
Tomorrow, Governor Lingle will be on hand with company officials as a ground breaking is held for the project.
The project will consist of 12 wind turbines on a piece of land off Kamehameha Highway in Kahuku.
Officials say Kahuku Wind will generate enough clean, wind energy to power about 77-hundred homes on oahu each year.
