The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Are you serious? Electricity isn’t a renewable or nonrenewable resource; It’s a product of those resources, such as fossil fuels (non renewable-WILL run out) wind, sun (renewable). You should worry about it because power stations can only handle so much electricity use and eventually your area will experience brown or black outs a la California. That’s why you should worry about it; you won’t be able to play your video games during a blackout.

  2. no there is unlimited sources of electricity its just the fuels they use that might run out

  3. *Sigh*

Because the majority of electricity is produced from fossil fuels the more you use the more oil has to be burned.

The largest source of reducing the need for oil is conservation.

When the price of electricity goes up, don’t you whine like a baby. If you want something bad enough you should be willing to pay for it. I’ll have a smart meter in my house and a windmill on the roof selling you power and laughing all the way to the bank.

  4. You need to conserve electricity as long as we use non-conservable, non-renewable fuels like oil, coal, nuclear reactors, etc. to generate electricity.

As soon as we can make renewable energy sources like solar power, wind power, tide-forces or hydroelectric sources affordable, there won’t be any limit to the amount of electricity you can use.

Then, the only problem will be the tariffs and taxes the energy companies and governments will clamp on to those energy sources. Then it won’t be a problem of fuel resources, but rather a matter of financial ability to pay for the electricity you use.

  5. Electricity cannot “run out”. The resourses used to produce electricty will at best “run low”. Fossil fuels are not renewable, which means that sooner or later we will need to find alternatives to produce electricity. Yes, we use windmills, solar energy, we also use dams to generate electricity. But these alone will not produce enough energy for our current rate of consumption.

    Sooooooo…..
If we conserve electricity now, we will burn less fossil fuels. Which means that the fossil fuels will last longer, giving us a little bit longer to find alternative power source.

Besides, wasting electricity is like throwing money away…..
why would you do a crazy thing like that?!?!?!

    Hope that helps.

PS – if you really like throwing money away, throw it my way ;-)

  6. Well! To aswer your question we need to first look into how do you get electricity(i.e., how it’s produced) ? Well there are a lot of ways in which electricity is generated but the most widely used is through thermal power stations. They use coal, diesel or other fossil fuels. First and foremost these fossil fuels are limited in quantity so they will finish over a period of time. So, if you do not conserve electricity then maybe they will be over before they should be. So you better conserve electricity than repent later.
Also, with the use of these fossil fuels there wil be a lot of Green house gases emitted which will result in excess Global warming – which is a threat to life on earth.
There are also alternate fuels used for electricity generation. But they are not still viable. For Example, Solar, Wind and Tidal energy re limited and costly. Nuclear fuels used for production of electricity produce toxic byproducts, etc.
So, we should all conserve electricity for a better tommorow.

  7. it isn’t the matter that the electricity may run out but the more electricity you spend the more fossil fuels is burned and carbon di oxide and some heavy metals oxides are produced and i hope u know what does that mean
but even don’t worry in a near time we will use the fuel cells which burn hydrogen and produce electricity and water

  8. You don’t have to worry about conserving electricity as it will be abundant. Rather, worry about having a planet on which to use it on! Wake up!

  9. Think about the future generations. Do you have children? I do. I do not think we will run out of electricity. We make electricity; it is just a matter of being able to keep up. There should be more concern over keeping water supplies clean and conserving natural resources such as petroleum.

  10. because if it runs out after ur dead you’ll be responsible for making that happen

Could electricity run out in my lifetime? If not why should I worry about conserving electricity?
