This may sound like a really “nieve” question..but really do not know the answer. If I leave my adaptor hooked up to my laptop all the time does it use a lot of electricity? I usually do not turn it on unless I am using it….so it basically sits off with the adaptor still hooked to it….just wondering…..these days we are trying to conserve as much as possible. Thanks in advance…

Yes it does
anything plugged in even if its turned off will use electricity especially a compute/laptop unless its a hybrid computer

If your adapter is connected and the battery is fully charged, it turns the juice into heat which is an electric loss. How much? I don’t know, but I do the same thing.
