  1. Lets harness everything but there is enough new reserves in Northern Albert Canada alone to supply Canada for 500 years. In one province. Saudi says it could more than double it’s output if inclined. Turns out Iraq may have the largest reserves in the world and the US has Iraq. The US has enough Coal and Natural Gas to last 100 years plus, easy!

  2. according to Al Gore, “the earth’s core is millions of degrees farenheight”

  3. Could a geothermal energy plant also serve as a desalinization plant by vaporizing sea water and collecting it into a water tower?

  4. It had all the info. I need and it really helped me to understand what Geothermal energy is all about. I can appreciate the indepth lecture and examples given because I had but a clue what geothermal energy was until now. If you ask me now, I could probably half way teach the lecture myself, thanks to this video. Kudos. –Seminole State College Student.

  5. Hey, I have to write a college paper and do a huge board on Geothermal energy, so this video although it took a long time to complete watching it (+ I have 3 little ones & it’s bedtime) was the right one to watch.

  6. Ill find my info someplace else… I couldnt get through sales pitch and poor speaking. Want this to catch on???

Find a better speaker, not a reader, what is she, the PRESIDENT?

  7. This was a little too long to watch the entire lecture, but what I saw was VERY good. I like the demonstrations and visuals. She’s done a great job.

  8. SSOOOOO soorry dont read, it is scary so i had 2 post!!!!!!!

One Day, Sally was babysitting, when the old man from next door came and took the kids away. Sally was put to the chair 3 weeks later.
Post this in 10 vids and you will live
IF NOT HOWEVER, Sally will come bedside and kill YOU on the NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY. Also dont look in the mirror… She is watching
    Help

  9. I loved this video! Carol’s passion for this subject is what makes it SO WONDERFUL to watch!

I also enjoyed the visuals from Ken. Much more interesting than what I remember from science back in school. Thank YOU!

  10. Hmm … I would think that the technologie is not yet fully developed. I am not argueing that it works and is better than conventional C-Based energy forms, but the thing is that especially watersteam is the main reason for heating/cooling of the earth ( E.G. clouding and so on ). So basicly as long as it is not a closed system used to produce energy, there still is an impact on the enviroment. Just my 2 cents.

  11. I live in Brazil.Geothermal Energy must be more used in near future.

    Americans are adicted to oil.

Geothermal Energy: Harnessing the Heat Beneath Your Feet

Right below your feet is a source of renewable energy that is largely untapped. It heats groundwater by conduction and convection as it travels toward the surface of the earth. Lawrence Livermore National Lab scientists Carol Bruton and John Ziagos explain how geothermal energy can be used to generate electricity or heat buildings.
