Question by EVbuilder: Has anyone ever seen a working Magnetic Piston Engine?
I’ve heard stories, of an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) being converted to magnetic, by installing rare earth magnets on the pistons, and having electromagnets in the head that are switched on and off with the distributor timing, apparently the electromagnet repels the rare earth magnet on the piston, forcing the piston down just as the original sparkplug/fuel ignition did. Sounds like it could work, but has anyone out there ever seen it done?
