Question by Dylan H: how does solar enegy convert to electricty?
Best answer:
Answer by mck
Basically, the solar energy is converted to heat (since the black panels absorb the light and therefore more heat), which then heats water, making steam, which rises up through a tube, causing a turbine to spin, creating a magnetic field, which creates electricity. Similar to coal, which burns coal to create the heat for the water, or hydropower, which just uses running water to spin the turbine directly.
