I don’t get it. Obama didn’t start the spill, Obama can’t magically fix something that is at a depth NOBODY has the technology to efficiently operate in, and Obama has no control over how many barrels of oil spill out every day.
However, he has implemented all of the resources we have. Maybe it was a little late, but honestly NOBODY understood the gravity of the situation until later anyway because it’s at a depth we can’t operate freely in. So, seriously, how is it that people can still place MOST of the blame on him?

Resources for cleanup could have been deployed to the Gulf on day one, yet they were either refused (from foreigners) or they are still sitting in warehouses.
It’s a joke. Of course it’s not really his fault, but the President ultimately is assigned responsibility for everything bad that happens in the country.
I wonder how many people give him credit for preventing oil spills during his first year as President.

There are TONS of thing he could have done to minimize the damage which he did NOT do.
Yet, he still found time to host the President of Mexico, Beyonce, Eva Longoria and Paul McCartney, continue the “White House Summer Concert Series” and go on TWO vacations.
How was Katrina Bush’s fault? Bush didn’t conjure up the hurricane…Obama is the President (cold shiver) and he has yet to produce an organized strategy to deal with this disaster! Why did he not allow the local fisherman to help in the cleanup early on? Why did he not allow the Danish ships to help in cleanup?
He could have allowed people to get faster supplies and contain the oil out in the ocean rather than allow it to get to the shores. Instead he went on vacation twice and danced with McCartney and Hollywood.
He also could have accepted the Dutch help to skim the oil to lesson the damage but Oh NO.. he did nothing except point fingers.

This HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE! Now how are you going to fix something that nothing has been invented to fix?
Imagine the outrage and wast of US dollars if he would have sent everything under the sun on day one and the problem still isn’t solved?
Now he runs the risk of getting everything out there and it getting fixed too fast because more fingers will be pointing since it could have been fixed two months ago if he would have just stepped in right away.

Umm… I think more people are blaming BP even though the oil platform that caused the oil spill was owned by Transocean. Transocean should be responsible for their oil platforms… The oil belongs to BP and that’s why they are having to pay for it all to be fixed. Obama is being very hypocritical about the whole thing. It’s very unfair on BP because the oil spill is not their fault and they are the worst off because of it. More American money should be spent on helping all the animals that are dieing because of the oil spill. America should be giving BP all the money BP needs to fix the leak because that would stop it quicker but BP isn’t getting any money from America. Obama couldn’t have handled the whole situation any worse.
