  2. Very true. The ultralow Diesel available for purchase(courtesy USGOV) has cost many light diesel owners THOUSANDS in fuel leaks and worse: Fuel Pump Repair/replacement.

    As mentioned by others, simply add 1 quart 30 wt OIL at fill up. Some say to use transmission fluid. I prefer straight Oil that doesn’t contain additives to coat my cylinders with crud/byproducts.

  3. You can buy the o-rings from McMaster Carr, their made from viton, you won’t have replace it again for along time, you get pack of 12 for 5$ I think I paid.

  6. another thanks for the video, just getting ready to do my 03! FYI if you go to a diesel repair shop they have an aftermarket seal kit for the whole housing that has the seals, and it’s only 13 bucks!

  7. There are 3 rubber fuel lines going to that fuel bowl the will dry rot.. you can get the line at napa.. cut it to fit and take your time its a nice tight area but pretty simple

  8. You didnt have to replace the whole valve. Just the orings. Next time go to dieselorings (dot) com

  9. you should use a fuel conditioner or about a pint of 2 stroke oil in the tank, i heard that keeps the seals alive longer and lubricates everything better

  10. howdy. i just watched you’re video and i didn”t catch what year your truck is. my mom”s truck is a 2001 7.3 powerstroke with a similar issue just wondering what year model your’s is?
