Question by valentina: I have a question about ethnicity. I mean no insult, I am most serious.?
They are hateful about it. It is my HEALTH. I am not ashamed. I was proud of my parents. My Mom had black hair which
glinted blue in the sun. She had dark skin, very brown eyes. No body hair except under her arms, pubic area. I am not talking disrespectfully of my mother. I lovedher.
Dad was mixed German/Jewish, and maybe other. He had light hair. Grey eyes. I have green eyes,
lighter skin, and blond hair. Now greying platinum
and silver. I am told green eyes , genetically are the same as brown eyes.
In reading, years ago, they always said American
Natives had no beards or body hair, yet they say
they pulled out their beards and body hair. Which is true? I do not recall the
Blacks I knew having leg or arm hair, yet they had
chest hair.
Am I off base here. Does body hair have ethnic
implications.
I would like to know my ethnicity for reasons of pride,
for reasons of health. I have a terrible lactose intolerance which I have had since a child. No one
would tell me what it was. It was funny to them. I suffered horribly from this. When my second child was born and I went on WW, started drinking skim milk
(I never drank milk, it made me very sick) I began having almost terminal diarrhea, no one would tell me anything. I stopped drinking milk again, or eating dairy.
The low fat dairy kills me. So….I take ca when I can.
The supplements do not help. I developed a colon
problem on top of this. There are genetic lactose
intolerances, then there are acquired intolerances.
I have both.
I can eat cheese. Oddly enough, it does not bother me.
Some. I could eat yogurt. Now I cannot eat the low fat
yogurt, suddenly. I can eat some of the regular.
Please tell me about ethnicity and body hair.
Get a life, don’t be insulted. I am me, and I have
ethnic origins. No one would be ashamed of me at all
if they knew the truth. I am not a scud missile.
I want to know about lactose intolerances and racial issues, ethnicity. I cannot find what I want to know
in the books, they are so delicate.
I had stroke level BP at one time, no one would tell
me. I found out by accident. My parents had H
BP, both. My son does. My son has blond hair like
me, my daughter has the coloring of her Dad, who
by the way had a black haired Mom with dark skin
just like mine.
HELP.

I can’t help you with this one, but I suggest you contact a name university with an anthropology department and see if they can help. I know that some First Nation people have facial hair, but whether they are genetically pure or mixed I don’t know. I have also heard that lactose intolerance is ethnically connected. Talk to the profs and get some straight answers.
