  1. Apart from the captain allegedly being drunk, the main problem i think was a poorly designed ship.

    Multiple hulls. Kramer’s bladder system…where the oil is in a flexible bag inside the hull. Or even seperate compartmentalized tanks, like a tray of ice cubes, would have helped.

  2. To prevent repeat occurrences,

    1. Mandate double hulls for oil tankers.
    2. Do a better job vetting tanker ship captains.
    3. Make the offending oil company pay ALL costs for COMPLETE clean-ups PLUS damages to everyone whose livelihood is affected adversely by the spill.

Now i decided to write a research paper about it since this sounds really interesting to me.
i need to everyone opinions.
on how could you have propose a solution or take a stand about the Exxon Valdez oil spills??
