The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. A steam engine. Please, the 1800s are over. Have you heard of solar power and/or wind power?

  2. Why would you use that when a windmill would be so much less work! Think about that! The electric company would then OWE YOU MONEY. It’s a FACT.

  3. Steam engines are not too easy to come by. I have seen them on eBay on rare occasions. It would be a big undertaking and worth doing if you are a steam enthusiast. It is unlikely to give any economic benefit.
Diesel is a lot easier, and you can run it on used veg-oil.
Or if you really want to run on wood, you could look into other types of heat engine (eg Stirling), or set up a wood gasifier to run a petrol generator.
It is perfectly possible to sell your surplus electicity back to the grid, I think you get about 1p/kWh, they charge about 10p/kWh; good deal for them eh?
Good luck with steam if you go that way.
Whichever way you go, try to use the waste heat productively.

  4. Technically you could do that but it would be very expensive to buy the equipment. I would also advise you not to attempt it without proper permits and inspections. If you back feed the power grid you could kill some poor lineman trying to restore power.

i want to be able to generate enough electricity to power my home with the use of steam engine who can help me

in case of power disruption due to bird flu i believe steam engines that are wood burning combined with generators will work well because fire and water are plentiful
