A better ideal would be to hook an alternator to a pulley via a belt.
This would have the advantage of not producing any drag when the battery is fully charged.
I wonder if I can patent that idea?

Yeah I have that similar concept of that mine on my book is solar wind car with no gas that can be a hybrid same idea though but just try it.
Sure the faster you drive the more electricity you’ll get which will make your car (assume electric) go faster and faster till you explode. Please post results of worlds funniest videos.
Unless you are leaving your car parked, you will be generating electricity by burning fuel to move and increasing the drag to do it. The efficiency is not there. Stick with hybrids.
Unfortunately that will not work. The drag that the turbine will cause, will result in a lower fuel economy (mpgs). this system will not generate any additional energy, you will just be trading more gas for the electricity.
